Water Quality Permitting

The Permits Section of the Water Quality Control Division issues and administers discharge permits and other control mechanisms as provided by the Colorado Water Quality Control Act. The permit program covers stormwater discharges, and wastewater discharges to surface water and groundwater from industrial, domestic, and animal feeding operations. The Permits Unit also administers the industrial pretreatment program, biosolids program, and reuse programs.
