WHAT'S NEW IN PERMITTING

The Water Quality Control Division issues and administers discharge permits and other control mechanisms as provided by the Colorado Water Quality Control Act.

NEW FORM:  Permit Narrative Conditions Report Form  - to be attached to Compliance Schedules, Mixing Zone Studies, Sediment Control Plans, Special Studies, etc., that need to be submitted to the Division

RENEWAL COR030000 CDPS General Permit  for Stormwater Discharges Associated with

This general permit will expire June 30, 2012 and will be administratively continued at that time.

2nd REQUESTS
for applications that have not been received by the division by April 15, 2012 were mailed out to legal contacts on April 18, 2012. These are due to the division as soon as possible, NO LATER THAN JUNE 28, 2012.

If the permit is no longer needed - construction is complete and the site is stabilized, an Inactivation Form must be sent as soon as possible.

   Renewal application tracking:
Active Stormwater Construction Certifications   (updated first week of each month)
Yellow Highlighted cells with information "RENEWAL NOT RECEIVED" indicates that the Division has NOT received a renewal application.  Postcards will be sent to confirm a certification is administratively continued after June 1, 2012.

ISSUANCE OF COR900000  CDPS General Permit  for Stormwater Discharges Associated
                                                     with Non-Extractive Industrial Activity.
                                                     Issued MARCH 7, 2012   Effective JULY 1, 2012
The permit effective date is delayed (July 1, 2012) to allow permittees time to modify their facility processes and procedures to meet the requirements of the final permit.  The Division encourages permittees to start this process now

Certifications are being issued now with the intent to complete by the July 1, 2012 effective date. This means certifications will be mailed to permittees between March 15 and July 1. Some may be mailed later than July 1, Permit coverage continues under the current permit(s) until permittee receives the new certification.

For a list of issued certs - see Active Stormwater Industrial certifications

Please read the General Permit  (below) for requirements that will be in effect July 1.  Other compliance assistance materials can be found under the Commerce and Industry Sector.
