Water Quality Permitting

 

The Water Quality Control Division issues and administers discharge permits and other control mechanisms as provided by the Colorado Water Quality Control Act. The permit program covers stormwater discharges, and wastewater discharges to surface water and groundwater from industrial, domestic, and animal feeding operations. The Water Quality Control Division also administers authorizations  for industrial pretreatment, biosolids land application, and reuse-reclaimed water.

1. Applications and Forms
    All Applications for GENERAL PERMITS should be submitted to the division 
    AT LEAST 30 DAYS PRIOR
to the anticipated discharge.

  • Permitting Forms: i.e.  Applications (i.e. Notice of Intent); Transfer; Amendment; Change of Contact; and Termination

  • Reporting Forms:  Annual Reports; Discharge Monitoring Reports for Mobile Sites; and other Self-Reporting Forms for all Categories of Discharges.

  •   Public Notices include the Division's determinations to issue, deny, or terminate discharge permits. Public Notices may also include Enforcement  Actions; TMDL information; and other such information available for public review and comment.
