The Drinking Water Revolving Fund provides low or no interest loans to governmental agencies for the construction of water projects for public health and compliance purposes. This includes funding for treatment upgrades, distribution line replacement, treated water storage and water meter projects. Construction of dams or reservoirs, purchasing water rights and projects needed primarily for growth or fire protection are not eligible.  Learn how to begin the process of receiving a Drinking Water Revolving Fund Loan.

The Grants and Loans Unit coordinates with other funding agencies to assist communities with creating the best available funding package for their specific water quality needs. This may include a combination of grants and loans from our funding programs as well as these program partners.
