Water Quality Control Commission Meeting Set for June 11DENVER- The Colorado Water Quality Control Commission has scheduled a public rule making hearing at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 11, to consider revised water quality classifications, standards and designations for multiple segments in the Arkansas River Basin, Regulation No. 32 (5 CCR 1002-32) and in the Rio Grande Basin, Regulation No. 36 (5 CCR 1002-36). The revisions to Regulation No. 32 are proposed by the Water Quality Control Division, the Hazardous Materials and Waste Management Division, the State of Kansas, the City of Pueblo, the Tri-Lakes Wastewater Treatment Facility, Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company, Climax Molybdenum Company, Security Sanitation District, Pueblo West Metropolitan District, the City of La Junta and Colorado Trout Unlimited. The revisions to Regulation No.36 are proposed by the Water Quality Control and Hazardous Materials and Waste Management divisions of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The meeting will be held at the Sangre de Christo Arts & Conference Center, 210 North Santa Fe Ave., in Pueblo. The meeting is open to the public.
