Infant Mortality in Colorado, December 2003 Report  

This report presents an in-depth picture of the trends in infant mortality in the state between 1990 and 2002, including a brief analysis for each county or region. The Perinatal Periods of Risk methodology is explained and used to describe fetal and infant mortality for the largest counties and regions. The gaps between current infant mortality rates and the Healthy People 2010 goal are also shown for the largest counties. The narrative, pages 1-41, is followed by the Appendix, pages 42-120 (see separate files below. 

The County Starting Point Worksheets by Perinatal Periods of Risk Category are in the Appendix in separate files for each county or county group. These worksheets are intended to assist counties in selecting interventions to reduce infant mortality.
