Colorado Asthma Program EnviroFlash

EnviroFlash is a pager- and e-mail-based notification system that provides instant air quality information that residents can customize for their own needs, allowing them to take steps to protect their health and the health of their families.  The service is especially helpful for people who are at greater risk from air pollution, including children, older adults, and people with heart or lung diseases like coronary artery disease or asthma.   However, everyone can benefit by taking steps to reduce exposure on unhealthy air quality days. Go to the EnviroFlash Web Site

EnviroFlash is sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and state and local air quality agencies.  Those interested can register for the EnviroFlash services free-of-charge at https://enviroflash.epa.gov/airnow/subscriber/Subscriber.do?method=start.

The Denver-metropolitan area is joining a growing list of communities throughout the United States that are participating in this valuable program.  More information about EnviroFlash can be obtained at http://www.airnow.gov.
