National Health Service Corps Site Designation and SupportThe National Health Service Corps (NHSC) is a group of highly skilled health professionals dedicated to making access to health care a reality for everyone in America. Clinicians practice where they are needed in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area. Corps providers either receive scholarships for their education in return for service, or repayment of educational loans for a like commitment. The Primary Care Office is the lead contact in Colorado for health care facilities wanting to become an approved site for NHSC recruitment. To use the National Health Service Corps as a recruitment tool or as a way to assist your existing employees with their outstanding educational loan debt, an employer must determine that the practice meets NHSC program criteria, that the practice address is in a Health Professional Shortage Area, and must complete and submit a NHSC New Site Application and NHSC Cover Sheet. When your NHSC site application is complete, submit a copy to the Corps per the instructions listed in the application and send a second copy with the Primary Care Office Face Page and associated documentation. Applications may be faxed to 303-782-5576 or mailed to:
