Welcome!
Recognizing the need for improvements in Colorado’s public
health system, legislators passed the 2008 Senate Bill 194 known
as the Public Health Act. The Act calls upon the Colorado Department
of Public Health and Environment, Office of Planning and
Partnerships to coordinate implementation.
In addition to working on meeting the implementation goals of the Act, the Office is dedicated to:

Developing a strong infrastructure with state, local, and
private public health
partners

Providing technical assistance to local public health

Providing internal leadership for the department’s annual
strategic plan

Fostering collaboration and leveraging resources across and
within various
levels of government, communities, and non-profit organizations

Leading Colorado’s health assessment and planning system for
local and state
public health
