Who we are: a University of Colorado Denver program funded by the Office of Health Disparities, CDPHE, and led by the UCD, the AHECs and the NCI-Cancer Information Service.
Project personnel: Angela Sauaia, MD, PhD (Director); Judith Baxter, MA; Elaine Belansky, PhD; Jack Westfall, MD; Jennifer McIntyre Stachelski (Program Manager), Myrna Candreia (NCI-CIS) and all AHECs personnel.
What we offer: one-on-one training by University faculty to Colorado community-based organizations involved in health disparities projects, on: health disparities data: obtaining and understanding the health disparities data profile of your region cultural competence: working collaboratively with individuals from diverse cultures community engagement: who and how to engage your target community(ies) to address their needs evidence-based interventions: why "evidence-based", how to find and adapt and use interventions shown to work (and what to do if there aren't any...)
Evaluation: how to show your success and learn about how to improve, developing logic models; have our faculty work with you in your logic model grant writing: have one of our University of Colorado Denver faculty work with you to write your grant .
Participation is FREE but space is limited to only 5 to 10 organizations at a time to maximize one-on-one interaction.
