Vital Statistics
Vital events are defined as births, deaths, spontaneous fetal
deaths (miscarriages), induced terminations of pregnancy (abortions),
marriages, and marriage dissolutions (divorces or annulments).
Statistics of vital events provide a unique source of information
about the health, behavior, and wellness of the Colorado population.
The monitoring of such major life events provides users with
data for charting trends, identifying and researching health
concerns, and allocating resources.
