The Radiation Program
has received three documents pertaining to decommissioning the Cotter Uranium Mill. A public
comment period is being held from January 17th through February 17, 2012.
Written comments will be accepted through February 17th at the following

- Cotter Financial Assurance Update
Cotter maintains financial assurance (surety) for two aspects of the
site: the license and the Remedial Action Plan (RAP).
The Remedial Action Plan Financial Assurance discussions have
culminated in an agreement finalized on January 12, 2012. Please
see news
release and Final Agreement.
Cotter submitted the annual report for financial assurance for the
license on June 30, 2011 and the Department responded on July 8, 2011.
