Outpatient Physical Therapy or Speech Pathology
Services
Outpatient physical therapy services are physical therapy services,
including speech pathology services, furnished by a provider of services, a clinic,
rehabilitation agency or public health agency to an individual on an outpatient basis. The
individual would be:
- Under the care of a physician
- Directed by a plan prescribing the type, amount, and duration of
physical therapy services with periodic reviews by the physician
The division conducts certification surveys for
compliance with federal regulations and investigates any complaints
filed against one of these providers.
