Health FacilitiesHome and Community Based Services: Adult Day ProgramServices: Adult day care services are provided under the Medicaid waiver program for eligible clients. Services include health and social services, individual therapeutic and psychological activities furnished on a regularly scheduled basis in an adult day services center, as an alternative to long-term nursing facility care. Facilities may provide basic services or specialized services. An adult day care facility providing specialized services has been determined by the State to be providing intensive health supportive services for participants with a primary diagnosis of Alzheimer's and related disorders, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, chronic mental illness developmental disability or post-stroke participants who require extensive rehabilitative therapies. Adult day care centers providing medication administration as a service must have qualified staff who have been trained in accordance with state law, Chapter XXIV, Section 25-1-107 (1)(A). Provider Resources:
