Overview: Department Emergency Response
When an actual emergency or disaster event
occurs in Colorado, state support to the
impacted jurisdiction(s) occurs at their
request. The Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment supports public health
and medical response.
The attached document provides a comprehensive
summary of the public health emergency response
planning efforts at the state level, which
support the department’s role in state-level
response activities. This document is a
reflection of the department’s commitment to
public health emergency response, both in policy
and practice.
