EMTS Radio CommunicationsProviders of emergency medical and trauma care must be able to communicate with each other to maximize their efforts. Communications in EMTS systems includes: access to the system through 911 services; pre-arrival instructions to callers, dispatch of prehospital services, communications with physicians for on-line medical control and notification of patients being transported to facilities. Colorado has deployed a statewide Digital Trunked Radio System that providers of emergency medical and trauma care may use for communications. Information regarding this system can be found at:
