National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)

Though Colorado is not considered a "National Registry State," individuals holding current National Registry status are eligible for Colorado EMS Provider certification. All persons seeking initial certification in Colorado must obtain National Registry. (National Registry is NOT required to renew a Colorado certificate.)

For information on the NREMT Application and National Registry examinations in Colorado, contact the National Registry directly at www.nremt.org. The State office does not have information on the National Registry.

NOTE: National Registry EMT-Intermediate 85 certificate holders DO NOT meet the EMT-Intermediate standards in Colorado. Call the State office at (303) 692-2980 for assistance with Colorado EMS Provider certification only.
