Vaccines For Children Program – Parent Information
The Vaccines For Children (VFC) program is a publically funded entitlement program to ensure that all Colorado children receive the necessary vaccines, regardless of their parents’ ability to pay. The Colorado Immunization Program provides childhood and adolescent vaccines at no cost to providers enrolled in the VFC program, who can then offer the free vaccine to qualified children. To determine if your child qualifies for this program, please follow the steps below.
| |
- Contact your pediatrician or family practice physician to see if they participate in the Colorado Vaccines For Children (VFC) program. If your healthcare provider is a current VFC participant, they will be able to determine if you qualify for this program.
- If your healthcare provider is not a VFC participant or if you do not have a primary care physician, you may contact the Local Public Health Agency (LPHA) in the county where you live. All LPHAs in Colorado participate in the Vaccines For Children program and can serve any child who qualifies. Please visit Colorado’s List of Local Public Health Agencies and select your county of residence to identify the location closest to you.
