Welcome to Colorado’s H1N1 Vaccine Resource for registered H1N1 providers!
This web page offers you all of the pertinent information and tools to successfully administer H1N1 vaccine. Please review this site for quick answers to your questions and any documents you need.

Providers waiting for first H1N1 vaccine allotment:
The Colorado Immunization Program (CIP) is responsible for coordinating the distribution of all 2009 H1N1 Influenza vaccine in Colorado. In some areas across the state, H1N1 vaccine supplies are not yet meeting demand. CIP continues to work with Colorado’s local public health agencies (LPHA) to distribute H1N1 vaccine with respect to the ACIP priority group guidelines. If you haven't received any vaccine, your LPHA is your best point of contact in determining when your organization will be allocated H1N1 vaccine. We expect supply to catch up with demand in the coming weeks, allowing for distribution of vaccine to all registered H1N1 providers. We appreciate your patience with this process.

Individuals eligible for H1N1 vaccination:
Each local public health agency (LPHA) is ultimately responsible for directing the vaccine distribution in their county/jurisdiction and for setting the priority vaccination requirements. Because H1N1 vaccine is still somewhat limited, all H1N1 providers are required not to exceed the ACIP recommended priority groups (listed below) until further notice:

  • Pregnant women
  • Healthcare workers
  • Children 6 months - 24 years
  • Household contacts/caregivers of infants under 6 months
  • Non-elderly adults 25  - 64 years with underlying medical conditions

CIP, in conjunction with LPHAs, are in the process of evaluating if Colorado is at a point where we can move beyond the ACIP priority groups. You will be notified by LPHA when this change occurs.

Transferring vaccine to other providers:
As each LPHA is setting the guidance for their county/jurisdiction it is imperative you seek guidance/direction from the appropriate LPHA.  In general, you are not permitted to transfer vaccine to an alternate location, as there may be differing guidelines.
