Environmental Epidemiology and Toxicology
Environmental Toxicology
and Risk Assessment Consultation - Provides
statewide consultation to all divisions within the Department of Public
Health and Environment, other state agencies, local health agencies, and
the public. The program independently reviews, interprets and
presents information on the physical, chemical, toxicological, and
epidemiological properties of environmental contaminants that pose a
potential or existing hazard to human health and the environment. The
Environmental Toxicology Program provides ongoing consultation to
Colorado’s air pollution, hazardous waste, and water quality
regulatory programs to ensure the scientifically informed analysis and
public health policy development.
