Each year, approximately 70,000 children are born in Colorado. Each of these children needs between 18 and 23 immunizations by the time they reach six years of age in order to protect them from serious vaccine-preventable diseases. The increasingly complex immunization schedule makes it difficult for healthcare providers to keep track of which vaccines are needed and when they are due for their patients.

The Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS) can help providers navigate these complexities.

Please explore the links to the left to learn more about the benefits provided by participating in CIIS and why you should join us in our effort to protect communities across Colorado from vaccine-preventable disease.
