The Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS) provides the following benefits to providers:

• Provides decision support by displaying the vaccines recommended under current guidelines based on the individual’s age and immunizations already received
• Provides an accurate, official copy of a child’s immunization history for personal, school, child care or camp entry requirements

“Our triage nurses feel that the Colorado Immunization Information System has been very beneficial to our practice. When a parent calls to find out if their child is up-to-date on immunizations, it is very easy to access that child’s record to see what immunizations that child may need. Our providers utilize print-outs of the immunization records at all visits in order to determine if a child is up-to-date on immunizations.
