Retail Food

On March 1, 2007, Section 3-301 of The Colorado Retail Food Establishment Rules and Regulations became effective. This section addresses the prevention of food contamination from food employees by having no contact with ready-to-eat foods by bare hands. If a retail food establishment prepares ready-to-eat food items that require bare hand contact by food employees, Section 3-301 (D) must be followed in order to be in compliance with the requirements of this regulation.

The regulations and the guidance documents have also been translated into Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
