The Colorado Health Information Dataset (CoHID) is a combined effort of local and state public health agencies. Its purpose is to provide health, demography, and environmental data for review and analysis. Using internet-based technologies, users may query and summarize from a variety of datasets. CoHID resides within the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and has been supported by Preventive Health Block Grant and Health Alert Network/Training funds. CoHID's governing board includes representatives from both local and state health agencies.   Goals:
  • Support public health professionals in assessment, planning, and assurance activities
  • Provide data and analysis for local public health efforts
  • Increase capacity to understand and apply statistical measures pertaining to health of populations

  • Birth records
  • Death records
  • Population estimates from Colorado Division of Local Government
  • Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)
  • Additional datasets will be added
  CoHID Features:
  • Record-level data queries
  • Summary data queries
  • Population-based rates
  • Age-adjusted rates
  • Small-area analysis
  Results from queries that may lead to identification of an individual will be suppressed. Public health practitioners are asked to contact CoHID at cohid@state.co.us for more information.
