Regional Haze State Implementation Plan

Colorado has been developing a federally-required Regional Haze Plan over the past several years.  Portions of the plan developed in 2008 and 2009 were replaced with a new plan approved by the Air Quality Control Commission in January 2011.

The Regional Haze Plan was given preliminary approval by the U.S. EPA on March 8, 2012. EPA is taking public comment on the plan and intends to finalize its decision no later than Sept. 10, 2012.
