2008 AQCC Public Hearing and
Ozone Stakeholder Process

This site focuses on the now-completed process of developing an Ozone Action Plan to bring the North Front Range area into compliance with the 1997 federal 8-hour ozone standard. The plan was developed during 2008 and was approved by the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission in December 2008.

However, EPA issued a new, more stringent ozone standard in March 2008. Colorado is continuing to evaluate ozone reduction strategies since the North Front Range area will likely be named a nonattainment area for the new federal standard.
